Abstract: Your R code is taking too long? Your Python code runs out of memory? You have thousands of questions for a large language model (LLM)? This month's HPC Café is aimed at researchers with a background in the humanities and social sciences who are curious about how high-performance computing (HPC) can support their work. The talk provides an accessible introduction to what HPC is and why it matters beyond the natural and engineering sciences. Through several practical scenarios, participants will learn how to use simple interfaces to run Python and R code efficiently. The session will also explain how to get started and how to apply for access to HPC resources at FAU.
